He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley E. Hathaway and Dorothy Hathaway (Dunn); his brothers, Robert Hathaway and Norman Hathaway; and his grandson Ryan Stemmer.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra O'Neil; his children, Kim Goulette of Essex Junction, Bonnie Van Schijndel (Ken) of Irvine, CA, Scott Hathaway of Burlington, VT, Tracy Fitzgerald of Ira, VT, Karen Hathaway Adams (Bill) of St. Albans, VT and Belinda Hathaway Hull (Colleen Hull) of Yuma, AZ; his grandchildren, Adrienne, Alanna, Danny, Mark, Macy, Caleb, Amber and Hannah; his great grandchildren, Landon, Cooper, Lilah, Charlotte, Angela, Mark, Izzy, Carter and Kayleigh; and his siblings, Donald Hathaway (Carol), Michael Hathaway (Gail) and Sharon Adams (Butch Adams).
