He was predeceased by: his wives, Barbara (Gelbar) and Elenor; his close friend Joyce; his sons, Gary Lee Colburn and Richard Alan Colburn; and his brother Charlie.
He is survived by: his siblings, Albert "Johnny", Donald, Barbara, Virginia and Colleen; and his daughter-in-law Jill Colburn (Freddi DeMag). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
