He was predeceased by: his parents, Saint Rocks Fairfield and Augustus Wilfred; his siblings, Elizabeth Read, Phyllis Bishop, Greg Girard and James Girard; his stepbrother Cedric Able; and his granddaughter Catherine Girard Langevin.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Girard; his children, Donna L. Girard, Lawrence W. Girard and Shane L. Girard (Simone M. Potvin); his grandchild Serenity M. Girard; and his close friends, Chris, Janet Bishop, Frank, Sandy Read, Timothy, Cathy Girard, Burt, Jerri Remillard Maurice, Cathy Remillard of Jimmy Taft, Jim Read and David Howrigan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Veterans Administration and/or the Vermont Kidney Association on behalf of Heman Lawrence Girard.
