She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazelton Sargent and Rena Sargent (Jewett); and her brothers, Hazelton Sargent, Jr. and Duane Sargent. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Firkey of Essex Junction; her children, Peter Firkey (Laura Cunningham) and Jacquelyn Pollard (Kurt) of South Burlington; her sisters, Rachel Ouelette (George) of Milton and Gloria Dean (Richard) of Newport; her grandchildren, Jennifer Roberts (Jeremy), Sarah Hallihan (Trevor), Christopher Pollard (Brittany), Kimberly Riani (Christopher), Joseph Pollard, Emily Cunningham-Firkey (Charlie) and Eva Cunningham-Firkey; her great grandchildren, Alyssa Pollard, Noah Roberts, Megan Roberts, Meela Pollard, Ella Folsom, Joshua Bourdeau, Ryan Bourdeau and Emma Riani; her great great grandchildren, Griffin Pollard and Grayson Pollard; and her close friend Marie Forcier (Burlington) of Newport.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the A. W. Rich Funeral Home - Essex Chapel (57 Main St, Essex Junction, VT 05452). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Michael's the Archangel Chapel (810 Campus Rd, Colchester, VT 05439).
