Mekkelsen Sr. of East Montpelier, Vermont, born in Montpelier, Vermont, who passed away on October 31, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son John Edward Mekkelsen, Jr.; and his sisters, Kathleen Mekkelsen, Joan Lanier and Doreen Pinard. He is survived by: his wife Grace Mekkelsen of East Montpelier; his children, Jane Mekkelsen of Burlington, Connie Mekkelsen Cherrier (Larry) of Grand Isle and Bruce Mekkelsen (Laurie) of East Montpelier; and his great grandchildren, Liam and Aiden Doyle. He is also survived by many cousins, nephews and nieces.
