He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin J. Sult, Sr. and Crystal Goss; his siblings, Gerry Allen Donovan, Christine and Mildred; and his grandmother Wava Sult.

He is survived by: his stepson Christopher Truszkowski; and his brothers, Melvin J. Sult, Jr. (Billie Jean) and Chester Hummel (Amy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
