He was predeceased by: his parents, John Albert Hemmens and Dorothy Hemmens (Kieskalt); his son John George Hemmens; and his brother Thomas John Hemmens. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen; his children, Craig (Mary), Emily of Spokane, WA, Eric of East Hardwick and Ann of Washington, DC.; his stepdaughter Kate VandenBergh (Rick); his stepgrandchildren, Zachary and Rebecca; his stepson Timothy Knox (Yuki); his stepgrandchildren, Maclan and Leanna; his stepdaughter Rebecca Knox (George Rice); his sister-in-law Evelyn Hemmens; his nieces, Kaye and Kris; and his nephew Kirk.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Craftsbury Community Care Center or Copley Hospital in Morrisville.
