He was predeceased by: his mother Theodora Bell (Burr); his sister Barbara Theodora Clark (Bell); his siblings-in-law, Donald C Clark Sr. and Corine Bell (Robinson); and also, James Butterfield and Brenda McAlpine.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Bell (Butterfield); his daughter Cassie Bell (Scott Cota) of Barre, VT; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Claire Isabelle; his son David Bell (Jeannie) of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren, Eric Laureyns (Rachel), Zach Smith, Emily Bell (Neal Hatley) and Kristopher Bell; his son Peter Bell (Sabrina Stidsen) of Leominster, MA; his grandson Spencer Bell; his brother Harry H. Bell of Middletown, OH; and also, Bernie and Lori. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
