He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Fortin and Anna-Marie Fortin (Fontaine); his grandchildren, Brandon and Casey; and his siblings, Rita Dagesse, Yvonne Lacroix, Lucienne Blais, Lucien Fortin and Lionel Fortin.
He is survived by: his former wife Gloria Durocher; his wife Sharon Powers; his children, Denis Fortin (Eli) of Morgan, VT, Daniel Fortin (Linda) of Derby, VT, Teresa Nelson (Scott Davidson) of Williston, VT, Laura Fortin of Orleans, VT, Carole Fortin of Colchester, VT and Debra Beauchesne (Ron) of Derby, VT; his stepdaughters, Deborah McCormick (Russ Ingalls) of Newport, VT, Cynthia Royer (Noel Pixley) of Barton, VT and Susan Larose (Chad Robey) of Florida; his grandchildren, Chelsea, Addie, Brooke, Brock, Doug, Dylan, Dale, Rebecca, Mechelle, Timothy, Anna, Marissa, Olive, Opal, Randi-Alison and Devin; and his siblings, Rene Fortin (May) of Holland, VT, Robert Fortin (Christine) of Derby, VT and Germaine Gosselin (Bill) of Derby Line, VT. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
