She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Claflin and Vera Claflin (Munroe); her children, Roberto, Armon Thurston and Zelta Corliss; her siblings, Franklin Claflin and Olive Eggleston; and her brother-in-law Norman Thurston.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence Thurston; her children, Sidney Thurston of Corinth, VT, Sidonie MacRitchie of Montpelier, VT and Fleeta Thurston of Fairlee, VT; her stepson Burton Valliant (Harriet) of Beloit, IL; her siblings, Junis Thurston (Mahlon) of Bradford, VT, John Claflin (Juanita) of Ocala, FL and Ralph Claflin (Mary) of Orange, VT; her sister-in-law Diane Claflin of Corinth, VT; and her friend Betty Sarazin of Corinth, VT.. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to local animal rescue groups and humane societies.
