He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sr. Halvorson and Goldie Meier Halvorson; his siblings, George Halvorson, Jr., David Halvorson, Joy Ann Halvorson, Penelope Halvorson and Rebecca Halvorson; and his grandparents, Leonard, Nora Evans Meier, Halvor and Mary Ewen Halvorson.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Trombly Companion; his daughter Melinda Young (Adam); and his stepson Joe Companion (Danielle). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
