He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hoyt Battey and Clara Battey (Densmore); his siblings, Donald and Sally Farnham of North Port; his spouse Jean Davis; his children, Carol, Hoyt III (Ned) of Montpelier and Elizabeth Ricketts; his friend Ray Keyser Jr; and his grandchildren, Hoyt Battey IV (Kip), Nicholas Battey, Lucas Battey, Nanci Meza (McElhaney) and Cindi Rosa (McElhaney).
