He was predeceased by: his sibling Hurley; his former wife Catherine McNamara of West Rutland; his son Robert Cavacas; his parents, Lillian and Antonio Cavacas; his stepparents, Carl Peterson and Lenora; and his brothers, Edward and Albert.
He is survived by: his significant other Patricia Leonard of Center Rutland, VT; his daughters, Peggy Wardrop (John) of Lebanon and Joanne Rogers (Jim) of Cornish, NH; his partner's children, Phil, Matt Holmquist and Kendra Moody (John); his grandchildren, Samantha Mann, Amanda D'Acunto, Ben (Alexandra), Katie Wardrop, Michael (Savanna) and Jacob (Breanna); his great grandchildren, Anastasia, Riley, Siena and Wilder; his great great grandchildren, Dalton, Gracelyn and Wrenleigh; his pet Randy; his sister Jean Harrington of Ocala; and also, Leah and Rachel Moody. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
