She was predeceased by: her sister Bernadine Griffin. She is survived by: her parents, Joseph D. and Agnes Vanyo (Gavich); her spouse William D. Smith; and her children, Gary Smith, Thomas Smith, Richard Smith of Springfield and Ellyn Gould of Chester. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
