He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Vaughan and Verlie Vaughan (Spurling); his wife Louise Vaughan; his daughter Roseanna Shattuck; his son-in-law George Shattuck; his grandson Ryan S. Vaughan; and his siblings, Sybil Collie Warren and Clem Vaughan.

He is survived by: his sons, Michael C. Vaughan (Kathy) of Fair Haven, Arthur Nelson Vaughan Jr. of Granville, NY and Daniel Richard Vaughan (Sue) of Naples, FL.; his grandchildren, Michael Vaughan of Rutland, VT, Melissa Rich (Ken), Stephanie Austin (Matt) of Whitehall, NY, Krystle Kent (Eric) of Fair Haven, VT and Rebecca Kluberdanz (Kurt) of Naples, FL.; and his great grandchildren, Matthew Vaughan, Tyler Shattuck, Sawyer Austin, Brady Kent, Izabella Kent and Thomas Kluberdanz.
