He is survived by: his wife Donna of Montpelier; his children, Diedre Marie Legare, David Ulric Legare of Mount Dora and Palmer D. Legare of Washington, D. C.; his granddaughter Heather Legare McManus (Kale) of New Bern; his stepchildren, Laura Sheehan (Dean) of Malta, Justin, Nathan, Lynne Wells (Guillermo Murcià) of Brooklyn, Analupe and Mateo; his sisters, Beverly Hatch (Cliff) of Groton, Earlene Wetherbee (Bernie) of Ryegate and Myrtie Beck (Kendall) of Ryegate; and also, Dylan, Hunter and Kathryn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
