He was predeceased by: his siblings, Clifton, Marie (Gay), Kenneth and Leonard (Jack). He is survived by: his aunts and uncles, Dude, Harry, Betty, Peg Abbott, Hazel Carpenter, Clifton and Hilton Pierce; his wife Marie; and his children, Frank Larry Thompson (Elaine Ibey) of Barre, VT, Valerie Gay Thompson of Lebanon, NH, Marla Ann Simerly of Montpelier, VT and Patrick Jon Thompson (Lori) of Mystic, CT.. He is also survived by 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
