He was predeceased by: his parents, Delore "Buck" Shatney and Ila Shatney (Nunn); his siblings-in-law, Harry, Ida Foster, Cal and Nookie; and his granddaughter Abbey.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammy Turmel (Leon) of West Burke; his grandson Monty; his wife Mary Shatney (Foster); his children, Terri of Cabot and Monty (Janet); his grandchildren, Kristina, Monica, William (Megan) and Elizabeth; and his great grandchildren, David, Mathew, Saphria, Riley, Remick and Oliver.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bernie's memory may be made to the Shriners, St. Jude's or to the American Cancer Society.
