He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joe Dalton and Dora Maude Dalton (Lines); his wife Betty Anne (Richardson); his children, Cheryl Swift and William D. "Bill" Dalton Jr. (Phyllis); his grandchildren, Jennifer Swift Bailey (Shaun), Hans Swift (Teresa), Heather Dalton, Zach Bohlen (Alyssa), David M. Dalton Jr., Lindsay Bohlen and Heidi Marsano; and his son David M. Dalton, Sr.. He was also cherished by fourteen great-grandchildren.
