He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy O'Brien and Alice O'Brien (Bennett); his wife Mary; and his son-in-law Keith Frantz. He is survived by: his children, David, Anne, Mary (Richard), John (Erika), Michael (Teri) and Robbie; his grandchildren, Rebecca (Jon), Josiah, Luke Bergeron, Daniel (Nina McMahon), Justin (Caitlyn Landry) and Lucien (Elias O'Brien); and also, Carolyn LaCoss (James), Ann Dombrowski (Lawrence), Ellen Halligan (William), Awa Bamba, Afua, Kobe and Fode Busia.
