He was predeceased by: his parents, Rex Gates and Dorothy Gates (Stewart). He is survived by: his daughters, Hanna Pease and Sara Gates; his grandson Stanley Pease; and his siblings, David, Tory Gates and Susan Wieferich. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
