It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Luther Frederick Hackett (Burlington, Vermont), who passed away on October 8, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his children, Luther Stephen Hackett (Ruthann Clark Hackett) of Williston, Elizabeth Hackett Robinson (James B. Robinson) of Weybridge, Sarah Hackett-Dalgliesh (Scott), Stephanie, Kate, Hadley and Emily; his siblings, Thomas Hackett (Colleen) and Sue (Stephen Harris); and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Tracy and David Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Fred's memory may be sent to the Fred and Sally Hackett Scholarship Fund at UVM which provides assistance to Vermonters who demonstrate a commitment to community service.
