He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Welsh and Madeline Welsh (Robear); and his wife Charlene Cartier Welsh. He is survived by: his children, Wendy (Welsh) and LaBonte (Andrew); and his granddaughters, Charlotte LaBonte, Victoria Welsh, Molly Welsh and Rebecca Welsh. He is also survived by several sisters-in law; one brother-in law and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
