He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Harold "Bear" Farrell, Francis, Catherine Roberts (Farrell), Clement and Shirley Therrien (Danksewicz); his uncle Dale Alderman of Tom Farrell; and his cousin Randy White.

He is survived by: his parents, John Farrell of Burlington, VT and Mary O'Donnell (Danksewicz); his husband Kevin O'Donnell Sr. of Berlin, VT; his daughter Kate Tamburo of Murfreesboro, TN; his sister Angela Odell (Danksewicz) of Charlotte, NC; his stepbrother Kevin O'Donnell Jr.; and his aunts and uncles, Dan Farrell, Cubby Farrell, Richard Roberts, Kathleen Talbot, Beatrice Harris (Danksewicz), Linda Alderman (White) and Terrie Therrien. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make donations to the local American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
