He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Welch and J. Catherine Welch (Graham); his former wife Betty Welch (McSween); his daughter E. Wynn; and his sister Kitty (Catherine).
He is survived by: his wife Lorri; his daughters, Kate (Don), Margaret and Anne (Jonathan); his sister-in-law Mary; his son-in-law Glenn; his stepchildren, Mindy and Edmund (Kristin); his grandchildren, Graham, Anna and Montgomery; his stepgrandchildren, Finnegan, Alexandra, Eamonn and Ronan; his cousins, Mary and Linda (David); his nieces, Debbie (David) and Judi (John); and his nephew Don.
Donations may be made in Jim's memory to the James G. Welch Scholarship Fund, University of Vermont Foundation.
