It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Tyler Thurston Jr. (Burlington, Vermont), who passed away on December 15, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James T. Thurston, Sr. and Pearl E. Thurston (Durett); and his brothers, Sidney Thurston and Wendall Thurston. He is survived by: his children, Vicky "Mushy" Cleland (Ernest "Ernie Ball"), Jamie Lee Thurston of Nashville, TN and Deborah West (Larry) of Summerville, SC; his grandchildren, Erin Pearl Raymond (Travis), Derrick Cleland, Stuart Cleland and Kasondra West; his great grandchildren, Landon Oliver, Harmony Cleland and Peighton West; his sisters, Virginia Atwood (Bill Fraties) of Essex and Brenda Viens of North Fayston; and his significant other Diane Barker Bent of Goshen.
