He was predeceased by: his sister Ruth Evans. He is survived by: his spouse Nancy Chase Jordan; his children, David Jordan of Francis, Utah, Cheryl Terrill of Plymouth and Susanne Megrath of East Montpelier; his sons-in-law, Robert Terrill and Steven Megrath; his grandchildren, Ashley Terrill of Plymouth, Devin Terrill of Santa Barbara, Michael Megrath of Matthews, N. C and Jordan Megrath of East Montpelier; his great grandchild Connor Terrill; and his sisters, Ursula Plummer (Sue) of West Chester, Penn. and Louise Harper of Holyoke, Mass.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Green Mountain Club in Fred Jordan's name for trails and shelter maintenance on the Long Trail.
