He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Melendy (Lum) and Marylin Melendy; his brother Matthew; his grandparents, Frank, Gladys Wells, Horace Melendy and Dorothy Melendy Haselton; his stepgrandfather Scott Haselton; and his uncles, Lucien Wells and John "Pete" Hancock.
He is survived by: his siblings, Cyndi Labelle (Doni) of South Starksboro and Chris Melendy (Clara) of Ferrisburgh; his son Adam; his nieces and nephews, Joshua, Zachary Labelle, Ashlei, Matthew Melendy, Patrick Clark (Wendy), Logan and Evan Ambroise; and his aunts, Anne Hancock and Anne DeVaughn.
