She was predeceased by: her parents, William O'Connell and Mary O'Connell; her husband John Francis McAteer; and her siblings, David, Paul, Tom O'Connell and Barbara Fitzgerald.

She is survived by: her brother Robert O'Connell; her children, Mary Kennedy (Gerald), Mark McAteer, Jack McAteer (Linda), Carol Grace (Steve), Peter McAteer (Cynthia) and David McAteer; her grandchildren, Nicole, Alison Grace, Anne Riggs (Kennedy), Matthew Kennedy, Molly Kennedy, Jonathan McAteer and Daniel McAteer; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Rizza, Bryton, Bennet McAteer, Wilder, Parker McAteer and Cillian Kennedy. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
