It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Scanlon Jr. of Brownsville, Vermont, born in Queens, New York, who passed away on November 8, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John, Sr. Scanlon and Irene Scanlon (Carey); his wife Catherine "Kathie" Scanlon (Bald); his former wife Beatrice "Bea" Ericson; and his brothers-in-law, Andrew Costic, Sr. and Francis Campbell, Sr..
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Matthew Meagher; his grandchildren, Rachel (Daniel Wierzbicki), Brian (Ashleigh), Jacob, Benjamin and Caleb Meagher; his great grandchild Camden Wierzbicki; his brother Robert; his sister-in-law Catherine Scanlon; his sisters, Mary Costic, Ann Campbell and Ellen; and his siblings-in-law, Patrick Vaughan and Eleanor (Russell Hollister). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
