He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray F. Grimes and Flora I. Grimes (Blackburn); his brother Howard; his sister-in-law Patricia; and his brothers, Ralph and Duane.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Grimes (Masterson); his children, Donald Jr., Robin, Brett and Vaughn Grimes; and his grandchildren, Rachael Grimes, Kathryn Grimes, Carl Epperson (CJ), Shawn Epperson, Derek Epperson and Kara Marszalkowski.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Bristol Rescue Squad.
