He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen B. Rivers and Marion Dana Rivers; his wife Ruth Rivers (Tatro); his son William Rivers; and his siblings, Norma Lattrell, Betty Bell, Nancy Pitts and Bernard Rivers.
He is survived by: his daughter Eloise Bolio of East Hardwick; his daughter-in-law Lorraine Rivers of Maine; and his son James Rivers (Lori) of Bristol. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
