We bid farewell to Jerry Grimes Sr. (Brattleboro, Vermont), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 30, 2025 at the age of 83. Jerry touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Grimes and Rose Grimes (Collis); his son Douglas Earl Grimes; and his siblings, Alfred, Allen, Ralph, Frank Grimes and Alice Dembek.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Grimes (Thayer) of Gilford; his children, Jerry "Jay" Grimes, Jr. (Judy Huggins) of Jay, FL and Tammy Roberge (David) of Laconia; his brother George Grimes (Judy) of Russellville, KY; his grandchildren, Jennifer Riopel (Andrew Vinnacomb), Ashley Riopel (Matt Resca), Shawn Roberge (Tristan Pierce), Joshua Roberge (Tiffany), Nicole Parker (Matt), Christine Roberge, Ryan Grimes (Katelynn), Shane Grimes (Karissa), Kate Songer (Torrey Kelty), Dustin Songer and Nathan Songer; and his great grandchildren, Andrew, Rylynn, Braxlee, Hannah, Warren and Cameron. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the West Brattleboro Baptist Church (979 Western Ave, Brattleboro, VT 05301).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Jerry's name to the Belknap County Nursing Home, 30 County Drive, Laconia, NH 03246.
