He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Francis P. Lavender and Amelia Lavender (Lamb); his wife Clara Marie "Claire" Finnell; his siblings, Paul Lavender (Debbie) of Mount Vernon, ME, Betty Worden of Brattleboro and Rosalyn Enos of Brattleboro; his grandchildren, Christopher, Ryan, Austin, Brady and Alec; and his sisters, Mary Sanborn and Joanne Wheeler. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and other family and friends.
