Mary Annett Claflin Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Annett Claflin (Bradford, Vermont), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 29, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Mary Annett may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Mary Annett touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Downing and Hannah Downing (Wilcox); her husband Ralph Claflin; and her grandson Eric Simendinger. She is survived by: her daughters, Connie Simendinger of Williston and Kathy Claflin of Washington; her grandchildren, Travis Harrington (Elizabeth Newton) of Orange, Jeffery Simendinger of Waterbury, Amy Simendinger (Jake) of Burlington, Amanda Merrill of Northfield and Mark Simendinger of Winooski; and her great grandchild Jake Harrington of Orange.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the East Orange Cemetery (44 Fish Pond Rd, West Topsham, VT 05086).
