He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jerome W. Tarleton and Wanda M. Tarleton (Hubbard); his children, KristiAnn Moody (Scott), Ian S. Tarleton, Malcolm Tarleton, Liza May Tarleton and Hannah Jo Tarleton; and his siblings, Renee Kroll and Dwight Tarleton. He was also cherished by five grandchildren.
