He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Maynard and Maude Maynard (Watson); his daughter Kathy Maynard; and his siblings, Fred Maynard (Miller), Kenneth Maynard, Ruth Turgeon, Margret St George, James Maynard, Richard Maynard and Hilda Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Maynard (Christiansen) of Castleton; his son David Maynard of Chelmsford, MA; his siblings, Donald Maynard, Douglas Maynard of Attleboro, MA., Russell Maynard of Rehoboth, MA. and Marion Dubois of Bellingham, MA; and his granddaughters, Tashana Thompson of Sierra Vista, AZ and Amaryillis Maynard of Oakridge, OR..
