He is survived by: his wife Martha Penfield; his children, Beth Umba (William Walker) of Bethel and Stephen (Deborah) of Higganum, CT; and his grandchildren, Eileen Umba-Neuwinger (Jason) of Cromwell, CT, William Gates (Lyndsey) of Barre, VT, Sandy Tracy (Josh) of Bethel, VT, Liam Walker of Bethel, VT, Michael and Lily Umba of Higganum, CT. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.
