He was predeceased by: his parents, Hope Godkin VanStone (Bennett) and Warren G. Godkin; his brothers, Kenneth Godkin and Bruce Godkin; his stepfather James VanStone; his stepbrother Larry Scott; and his brother-in-law John Blume.
He is survived by: his son Tyler Bennett Godkin (Savannah); his wife Joanne Godkin of Bennington, VT; his son Travis Godkin (Kaitlin Bonner) of Rochester, NY; and his grandchildren, Joseph, Margaret, Adalynn, Belle and Pheenyx. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
