It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Viola Marion Baker (Bennington, Vermont), who passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Birdo and Nellie Birdo (Clark); her siblings, Myrtle, Glenn, Jon, Kenneth and Richard; and her children, Bonnie Ames and John Ames.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Barney (William) of Bennington, VT and James Ames (Rita) of Jesup, GA; and her daughter-in-law Donna Ames of Morris, IL. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, two great, great granddaughters and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, Viola requested donations be made to the Second Congregational Church where she was a member and found fellowship and compassion. The donations may be made through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main Street Bennington, VT 05201.
