She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde Sherman and Alice Hathaway Sherman. She is survived by: her husband Thomas C. Prouty, Sr. of Bennington; her children, Thomas C. Prouty, Jr. (Alicia) of Shaftsbury Hollow, Alice Prouty of Bennington and Benjamin Prouty of Bennington; and her siblings, Clyde Sherman of Bennington, Carl Sherman (Sandy) of Bennington, Hazel Harris (Bill) of Hoosick Falls and Lynn Goff of North Carolina. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
