It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lee John Thew (Bennington, Vermont), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee James and Ione Thew (Matott); and his sister Elizabeth Sweeney. He is survived by: his wife Joicey Lee (Mastbrook); his siblings, Daniel and Helen Thew; his children, Lee Jr. (Brenda) of Jefferson, MD, Daniel Wayne, Tim (Connie) of Poolesville, MD, Jeff Thew, Wendy Scott of Shaftsbury, VT and Melody Thew of Suches, GA; and his grandchildren, Alex Thew (Caroline), Zachary Thew (Wendy), Jessica Fink (James), Pamela Valdivia (Ian), Amy Sasser (Bradley), McKinley Scott Keafabber, Jonathan Haden and Kelsey McKee (Chris). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and 12 nieces and nephews.
