She was predeceased by: her husband William Patrick Brooks; her parents, James Alexander and Mary Alexander; and her sister Jane Alexander. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Savidge of Newton, MA, William Brooks (Nancy) of Bennington, VT, Dennis Brooks (Sharon) of Bennington, VT, Mary Hunziker (Craig) of Portland, ME, Sarah Laderoute (Paul) of Rutland, VT, Carson Craig (Chris) of Durham, ME and Alex Brooks (Kate) of Marblehead, MA; and her grandchildren, Kelly, Kaitlin, Lindsay, Whitney, Dennis Jr., Bennett, Carson, Andrew, Katherine, William, Jack and Cole.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Special Olympics in Katherine's memory.
