He was predeceased by: his parents, John Basil Flanagan and Marie Monica Murray (Voss-Flanagan). He is survived by: his daughter Catherine Flanagan-Wright (William Wright) of Groton; his brother John Flanagan (Marguerite "Peggy" Flanagan); his niece Meghan; and his nephews, Andrew of Rocky Point and Brian Bigart of Bennington, Vermont..

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to BROC Community Action, a non-profit organization which provides Rutland and Bennington County families with a path forward out of crisis or poverty.
