He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Alfonzo and Margaret Ella Russell (Young); and his close friend Amelia Eaton. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Coon, Bobbie Osgood, Lorrie Calef, Donnie Russell Jr., Oliff Russell, Tina McKune, Ida Russell, Mary Hunt and Sherry Russell; his grandchildren, Kayla George, Tammy Russell, John Coon Jr., Tammy Lee Coon and Tyler Russell; his great grandchildren, Vinny Mangano and Ronald George; his sister Elizabeth Colter As; and his half-brothers, Ellis and Earl Russell. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
