She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred H. Taylor and Marguerite Taylor (Higgins); her siblings, Beverly T. Feeney of Bennington, Marguerite Jones (Peggy) of Locust Grove, VA., Charles D. Taylor (Pete) and Nancy; her brothers-in-law, Edward Frasier, James E. Feeney and Robert Jones; and her sisters, Elizabeth (Kanaan Kano), Myrtle (Howard Corey) and Jean (Bruce Smith).
She is survived by: her husband Charles A. Downing (Chuck); her daughter Tracy A. Bessette (Michael) of Vergennes; her grandchildren, David M. Bessette, Molly A. Downing and Owen P. Downing; her stepgranddaughter Caroline Parker; her great grandchild Harley LeSage; and her sister-in-law Jane Taylor. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
