Robert C. Gates Obituary

We are sad to announce that on February 4, 2024, at the age of 90, Robert C. Gates of Belmont, Vermont, born in Mount Holly, Vermont passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert C. Gates to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leonard and Catherine Gates (Sprague); and his siblings, Clifford, Francis, George Gates, Hazel Turner and Lillian Snyder.

He is survived by: his wife Zena Gates (Simonds) of Belmont; his daughters, Linda Sloan of Proctor and Carol Dionne of Rutland; his stepdaughter Donna Aikens of Bellows Falls; his son Robert Bailey of Rutland; and his siblings, Etta Kennett of North Springfield, Chester Gates of Putney and Donald Gates of Belmont. He is also survived by four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
