It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thomas J. Gorton of Barre, Vermont, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gorton and Norma Jean Gorton (MacAuley); his wife Cheryl Gorton; and his brother James "Jimmy" Gorton. He is survived by: his children, Brian Gorton (Kendra) and Kim Jayasinghe (Nilan); his grandchildren, Evan, Sydney Gorton, Alex and Leah Jayasinghe; his siblings, Robert Gorton and Joan Stefaniak; and his close friend Betsy Shapiro. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
