He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. and Mary E. Massie, Sr. (Johnson); and his brother Richard Massie. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Marilyn Lois Elmer; his wife Marilyn Massie; his sons, James Massie III (Karin) of Rutland, Todd Massie (Brenda) of Colchester and Scott Massie (Beth) of Rutland; his grandchildren, Kyle Massie (Jaclyn) of Rutland, Keri Parker (Aden) of Rutland, Owen Massie of Rutland, Alayna Massie of Rutland and Samuel Massie of Colchester; and his great grandchildren, Eli of Rutland, Carter of Rutland, Thomas of Rutland and Henry of Rutland. He is also survived by four nephews, three nieces, and two cousins.
