He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Murtagh and Marjorie Murtagh (Bedell); and his brothers, Richard, Garold and Stephen.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Murtagh (Fleury); his daughters, Marjorie Murtagh Trombly (John) of Barre Town, VT. and Carol Murtagh (Dennis Beaudin) of Williamstown, VT.; his siblings, Sandra Hopkins (Mike), Susan Petty, Edward (Hazel) and Andrew Murtagh; his grandchildren, Rebecca Anderson (New York), Michael Trombly (Barre Town), Anthony Stupik (New Mexico) and Danielle Trombly (Barre Town); and his great grandchildren, Riley and Claire Anderson.
